The conference “Ukraine’s path towards NATO: achievements and future prospects”
On the occasion of completing the performing functions of the NATO Contact Point Embassy by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy hosted the conference “Ukraine’s path towards NATO: achievements and future prospects”.
The conference started with the welcoming address of the Director of the Diplomatic Academy Sergiy Korsunsky followed by the speeches of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius.
The panel of the distinguished guests included Head of the NATO Representation to Ukraine Alexander Vinnikov, Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center Barbora Maronkova, Ambassador of the United Kingdom Judith Gouth and Charge d’Affaires of the Canadian Embassy Rouslan Kats. The speakers focused on the key security threats facing Ukraine today and emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to maintain a close partnership with NATO and Euro-Atlantic integration.
In the Q&A session following the opening remarks, participants had an opportunity to get the first-hand information about the possible response of the NATO countries to the recent acts of Russian aggression in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
