Foreign language is an integral part of the diplomatic profession. This year 140 diplomats of the MFA of Ukraine have successfully passed the qualifying exams in foreign languages. I congratulate the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the successful completion of language courses.

Knowledge of two or more languages is an advantage for diplomats. The Language Training Center of the Diplomatic Academy is constantly expanding its portfolio of foreign language courses. This academic year for the first time Italian, Serbian and New Greek languages were taught at the Academy.
During 2020-2021, the Academy provided training services in English, French, German, Spanish, Czech, Hebrew, Turkish, Chinese, Italian, Serbian and New Greek. Each course (except Czech and Hebrew) ended with an exam that meets the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CERF).
