On 21 April at 3:00 p.m., on the eve of International Earth Day, we invite you to the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine for the opening of Oleksii Potapenko’s painting exhibition “EARTH.”
The exhibition explores the theme of the earth as a home, a repository of memory, and a source of life. In the artist’s works, humanity and nature appear in inseparable unity, and familiar images of the Ukrainian village are revealed through the prism of deep inner experience.
Oleksii Potapenko is a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, and monumentalist who consistently explores Ukrainian identity through visual imagery. The leading motif of his work is the land as a bearer of cultural memory and the foundation of generational continuity. The artist’s works are distinguished by their laconic forms, symbolic richness, and references to the traditions of Ukrainian monumental art.
The event will feature a curatorial tour led by Lesia Kochergina, during which guests will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition and learn about the project’s concept.
