Henrique Albuquerque, coordinator of the state institution “Camões – Institute for Cooperation and Language” (Camões, I.P.) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Portuguese Republic and director of the Kyiv Center of Portuguese Language and Culture visited DAU.
During the meeting with the diplomatic officials studying Portuguese at the Language Training Center of DAU, a wide range of issues were discussed: the history and activities of the Camões Institute, promoting the popularization and spread of the Portuguese language learning in the world, bilateral relations between Ukraine and Portugal.
Henrique Albuquerque spoke about the system of scholarships and grants for studies in Portuguese universities with the assistance of the Camões Institute. In particular, the Institute offers scholarships for foreign citizens for a summer course of Portuguese language and culture (distance and face-to-face), as well as a one-year course of Portuguese language and culture at one of the country’s leading universities (Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra) and specialized courses for researchers and translators.
