From May 18 to 26, the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a specialized online professional training course for employees undergoing rotational assignments for positions in the economic sector at Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad. Diplomats specializing in economic affairs from Ukraine’s diplomatic missions abroad and the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also participated in the training.
During the course, qualified Ukrainian lecturers covered the following topics:
- Current issues in the economic sector of the Foreign Service of Ukraine (speaker: Dmytro Kokhan, Deputy Director of the Department – Head of the Division for Energy Security and Sectoral Cooperation of the Directorate General for Economic Diplomacy and Recovery of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine);
- Export of Ukrainian products in the current context (speaker: Oleksii Hrushetskyi, Advisor to the Director for Export Promotion at the State Agency “Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development”);
- Activities of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Support Ukrainian Exports During the War (speaker: Valeria Zabashta, Head of the Sector for New Forms of International Economic Cooperation at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry);
- The use of YouControl analytical tools in economic diplomacy (speakers: Nataliia Kolomiiets and Anatolii Piasetskyi);
- Using UkraineInvest tools to attract investment into Ukraine’s economy from the perspective of the State Agency for Investment and Entrepreneurship (speakers: Oleksandr Melnychenko, Deputy Executive Director; Andrii Ryzvaniuk, Lead Expert of the Investment Attraction and Support Department; Yevhen Kotov, Lead Expert of the Legal Affairs and Regulatory Policy Department);
- Ukrainian agri-food exports in global markets: role, strategy, and promotion tools (speaker: Olha Trofimtseva, Chair of the Board of the Assembly of Agrarian Chambers of Ukraine, former Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy);
- Ukraine’s Recovery Economy (speaker: Ihor Burakovskyi, Ukrainian economist, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Economic Theory at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy).
During the training course, a variety of teaching methods were used, including interactive activities, discussions, and more. Participants highly praised the quality of the topics covered and the level of organization of the training process.
