24-26 October the introductory seminar of the project “The European Way of Ukraine” has been taking place at DAU. The course has covered the following topics:
- Preparing for EU accession negotiations. Speaker: Oleksandr Ilkov, Director General of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
- Priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy in times of war. Speaker: Valeriy Kravchenko, Head of the Department for Analytical Support and Interaction with the Expert Community at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
- Economic recovery of Ukraine: European integration aspects. Speaker: Igor Burakovsky, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
- European integration of Estonia: lessons for Ukraine. Speaker: Gert Antsu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Ukraine (2016-2019), Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
- Involvement of Ukrainian civil society in European integration. Speaker: Oleksandr Yavorsky, Head of the Ukrainian side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform.
- Legislative aspects of European integration. Speaker: Ksenia Smyrnova, Vice-Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
- Estonian support for Ukraine’s European integration. Speaker: Vahur Soosaar, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Estonia in Ukraine.
The project is organized by DAU in cooperation with Eesti Diplomaatide Kool/ Estonian School of Diplomacy with the support of Svenska institutet (Swedish Institute) and Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) within the framework of the Trilateral Diplomatic Initiative.
