On 22 July, Ukrvinprom, the official partner and ambassador of the Foundation for Wine Culture and Civilisations and the cultural centre La Cité du Vin, opened the registration of applications from Ukrainian producers.
Based on the results of the selection, 21 samples of Ukrainian wines will receive the status of Ukrainian Wine Ambassador 2024. The organisers will transfer the collection of these wines to La Cité du Vin, the world’s largest wine museum.
Volodymyr Kucherenko, General Director of Ukrvinprom:
The mission of the Fondation pour la Culture et les Civilisations du Vin and the cultural centre La Cité du Vin is to protect, present and obtain cultural, historical and intellectual knowledge about wines from different countries and regions of the world. By joining the Centre, each country significantly strengthens its international image as a wine-producing nation, and the companies that represent it in La Cité du Vin gain global recognition and a high status as ‘wine ambassadors’ of their country.
The selection of the official wine ambassadors of Ukraine is being held for the third time within the framework of the international project ‘Ukrainian Wine – Part of the World Cultural Heritage of Wine of La Cité du Vin’ initiated by Ukrvinprom Corporation and the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.
