24-25 October the training course “Energy Geopolitics” was held at DAU for diplomatic service officials.
The main topics of the training were:
- International relations in energy sector.
- Plans of the kremlin and Gazprom: retrospective and present.
- Challenges to ensuring Ukraine’s energy stability.
- European Green Deal and its importance for Ukraine.
- EU energy development and its cooperation policy with Ukraine.
- The state of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and priorities of Ukraine’s state energy policy.
- The place of Ukraine’s energy sector in the global and regional security system.
The course lecturers were:
- Mykhailo Honchar, President of the Center for Global Studies “Strategy XXI”
- Oleksandr Sukhodolia, expert on critical infrastructure, energy and environmental security
- Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Industry Research Center / EIR Center
