On February 21, a working meeting was held between the leadership of the DAU and representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and the American Councils for International Education in Ukraine.
The participants discussed the state and prospects of cooperation in the field of public diplomacy. Director of the DAU Hennadii Nadolenko spoke about the work of the Academy during the war, as well as about the training activities that were organized and conducted jointly with the American Councils for International Education during the long-term cooperation and with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
The parties agreed on the importance and necessity of continuing cooperation in the field of professional training of diplomats and civil servants in public diplomacy, strategic communications, cultural diplomacy, foreign language speaking and writing, etc.
The working meeting was attended by Director of the DAU Hennadii Nadolenko and his deputy Oleksandr Kyrychenko, Director of the American Councils in Ukraine Yarema Bachynsky, and representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine for Education and Culture Geoffrey Anisman and Glen Davis.
“We are working to ensure that the DAU not only continues to strengthen its institutional capacity, but also shares the experience gained by Ukraine during the war abroad,” summarized Nadolenko.
