On 13 June, the special short-term training programme entitled ‘Communication and Presentation Skills in the European Union’ came to its conclusion. More than 50 civil servants and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the English-language training course.
The topic of the final module was the specifics of working with information and analytical documents in the context of cooperation with European institutions.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about effective methods of internal coordination and harmonisation of national positions, techniques for clear and convincing summarisation of complex information, as well as best practices for handling confidential information and complying with restrictions on its classification.
The training programme aimed to improve awareness among Ukrainian civil servants of the specifics of interacting with European colleagues in terms of written and oral presentation of material, taking into account national, corporate and personal cultural differences.
The training was conducted live in Kyiv by Märt Volmer, Estonian diplomat, consultant and coach specialising in EU and international affairs; Executive board member at VTX Management OÜ.
