On 5 June, the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was visited by the finalists of the all-Ukrainian student essay competition ‘Can Russia be expelled from the UN?’, organised by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation in collaboration with the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The participants were welcomed by the Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Ihor Ostash, the First Deputy Director, Iryna Ivashchuk, and the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Kateryna Sydorenko. During the meeting, they spoke about the Academy’s activities, its educational programmes, international projects and professional development opportunities for young people planning to pursue a career in international relations and diplomacy.  

As part of the programme, the students met with diplomats, academics and public figures, and had the opportunity to discuss topical issues in international relations and international law, as well as the specific nature of the United Nations’ activities and the responsibility of the aggressor state for violations of the international legal order.

We wish the participants fruitful discussions, new professional contacts and a successful completion of the final stage of the competition.
