Kateryna Sydorenko, Deputy Director of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Margarita Pinchuk, Assistant Director, took part in a study visit to the Estonian School of Diplomacy in Tallinn.
The visit took place as part of the project ‘Ukraine’s European Way: Capacity Building of Ukrainian Officials and the Ukrainian Diplomatic Academy’, implemented by the Estonian School of Diplomacy with the support of the Estonian Centre for International Development. Representatives of Ukrainian state institutions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine took part in the programme.
During the study visit, participants familiarised themselves with Estonia’s experience in the fields of diplomacy, digital governance and European integration. Particular attention was paid to issues concerning Ukraine’s European integration, digital diplomacy, business diplomacy, and cooperation in the defence industry and energy security.
The programme included a visit to the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, meetings with representatives of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Estonian Parliament, and the European Commission Representation in Estonia, as well as discussions with experts from the e-Governance Academy.
Participants also took part in a roundtable discussion with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia, Volodymyr Boiechko.
The study visit helped to strengthen professional ties between Ukrainian and Estonian institutions, deepen understanding of Estonia’s experience of European integration and digital governance, and develop cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
