Seminar “International Security Challenges: Current State and Prospects of Ukraine–NATO Cooperation. Contemporary Trends in Global Politics”

On 12-13 February, the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine held a thematic English-language seminar for representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on ‘International Security Issues. Current Status and Prospects for Ukraine's Cooperation with NATO. Current Trends in World Politics.’

The speakers were Alina Hrytsenko, PhD in Political Science, Political Analyst at the NATO Representation in Ukraine, and Hanna Shelest, PhD in Political Science, Director of the Security Studies Programme at the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council, editor-in-chief of UA: Ukraine Analytica magazine, and chair of the board of the NGO ‘Promoting Intercultural Cooperation.’, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Institute, a state institution.

Over the course of two days, seminar participants discussed key issues of international security, the current state and prospects of Ukraine's cooperation with NATO, and current trends in world politics. The discussions analysed the main security challenges of today, the impact of full-scale war on the system of international relations, and the role of international institutions in shaping a stable and predictable security environment.
