On November 11–12, the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine hosted a two-day seminar entitled “International Economic Integration and Energy Geopolitics.”
On the first day of the training, Liudmyla Shvorak, Associate Professor at the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations, an expert in international economic relations, delivered a lecture on the specifics of international economic integration.
During the session, participants discussed key processes of global economic transformation, including:
the geopoliticization of the economy and destabilizing factors;
digitalization, technological progress, and the green transition;
the evolution of international trade and changes in the monetary system;
socio-economic transformations in the context of global change.
The second day of the training was devoted to the current state and prospects for the development of energy geopolitics. Mykhailo Honchar, an expert in international energy and security relations and President of the Centre for Global Studies “Strategy XXI,” shared his experience and insights.
In his presentation, he focused on the dynamics of the global energy market, the consequences of energy crises, the development of Ukraine’s energy security architecture, and the major challenges accompanying the global energy transition of many states.
The event was organized by the Professional Training Centre with the aim of enhancing the awareness of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other central executive authorities regarding current trends in international economic integration, global energy risks, and the development of effective public policy in these areas.
