Effective consular assistance requires not only a strong knowledge of the law but also the ability to act swiftly in complex situations. The second week of the intensive training program was dedicated to strengthening the practical skills essential for the daily work of Ukrainian diplomats abroad.

This training module covered the key areas that require particular attention from consular officials:

• Electoral processes abroad: an in-depth analysis of the organizational and technical aspects of preparing and conducting elections at diplomatic missions;
• Document security: training on verifying passport security features and identifying signs of document forgery;
• Notarial services: an overview of the specifics of performing notarial acts at diplomatic missions — one of the most in-demand services for Ukrainians living abroad;
• Protection of seafarers’ rights: a review of mechanisms for safeguarding the rights and interests of Ukrainian seafarers in crisis situations.

Invited experts shared their professional experience and practical case studies:

▪ Olena Anatoliivna Kitsiuk – Deputy Head of Department and Head of the State Voter Register Division, Directorate-General for Consular Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;

▪ Vasyl Barabash and Pavlo Zubko – representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine;

▪ Larysa Semenivna Rylska – practicing notary;

▪ Oleh Hryhoriuk – Chairman of the Marine Transport Workers' Trade Union of Ukraine (MTWTU);

▪ Nataliia Yefrimenko – ITF Inspector in Ukraine.
