A specialised professional training course for newly appointed consuls has been completed, marking an important step in strengthening the human resources capacity of Ukraine’s diplomatic service. The training programme was designed to develop practical skills, strategic thinking and enhance the professional competencies required for the effective performance of consular duties in the context of contemporary international challenges.
Leading experts, representatives of government bodies, the diplomatic service, as well as international and analytical institutions were involved in the programme, ensuring a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to the training of participants.
Upon completion of the course, participants were awarded standardised certificates confirming their successful completion of the programme and the acquisition of the relevant professional competencies.
The implementation of this programme forms part of a systematic effort to build a highly professional corps of consular officials capable of effectively carrying out the state’s tasks in the field of foreign relations and ensuring the proper protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad.
