From September 9–11, the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine hosted a 3-day offline training program “Enhancing Public Speaking,” organized by the Professional Training Center for representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The program aimed to enhance the communication skills of diplomatic service officials, essential for effective professional activity at both national and international levels.

The invited speaker of the training was Lina Zelenska — TV host, journalist, and educator with over 20 years of media experience, who shared practical advice and her personal expertise in communications.

During the first two days, participants focused on developing speech techniques and communication culture. They practiced diction, pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm, and learned to use their voice effectively. Special attention was given to business communication, principles of political correctness, informal interactions outside of protocol, and non-verbal communication methods.

The final day was dedicated to the art of public speaking. Diplomats mastered speech structure, audience engagement techniques, and confident presentation of their ideas. Practical exercises included reviewing successful speeches of world leaders and mock interviews, allowing participants to consolidate their knowledge and apply it to real-life cases.

The Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine continues to systematically develop professional training programs for MFA representatives, particularly in strategic communications and public diplomacy.
