On 28 April, a working meeting was held to discuss prospects for cooperation between the diplomatic academies of Ukraine and Panama.

The meeting was attended by Ihor Ostash, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine; Iryna Ivashchuk, First Deputy Director; Kateryna Sydorenko, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs; and Olena Zakharova, Head of the International Cooperation Department. Oleksandr Rummo, Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Panama, and Vladyslav Branashko, First Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also joined the meeting. The Ernesto Castillero Pimentel Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama was represented by its Director, Giancarlo Soler Torrijos.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for developing institutional cooperation in the field of professional training for diplomats, exchanging experience, and implementing joint educational initiatives.

Following the discussion, a roadmap was agreed upon, which provides for a series of training sessions, roundtables, an international conference, and the publication of academic articles in the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine’s scientific journal, “Academia Diplomatica UA.”
