On 6 May, Ihor Ostash, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, met with Anatolii Mazaraki, Rector of the State University of Trade and Economics. 

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Director Iryna Ivashchuk, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Kateryna Sydorenko, and Head of the Department of World Economy Hanna Duhinets.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas for further cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and the State University of Trade and Economics. In particular, they discussed organizing joint scientific and practical conferences, conducting research in the fields of international relations, international economics, and diplomacy, as well as opportunities to involve students and teachers from the State Trade and Economic University in the Academy’s educational and research projects.

A separate part of the visit was a meeting between the Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Ihor Ostash, and the university’s students. During the discussion, he shared his own experience working in the diplomatic service, spoke about the specifics of diplomatic work during wartime, and emphasized the key skills required of future specialists in the field of international relations.

The meeting marked an important step in continuing cooperation between educational institutions and opened new opportunities for implementing joint initiatives in the fields of diplomatic education, research, and international cooperation.
