Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine Ihor Ostash held a meeting with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shengkun. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the educational, scientific and cultural spheres.

Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and leading Chinese institutions specialising in the training of diplomatic personnel.

They discussed involving Chinese experts and scholars in round tables, conferences and seminars, which would promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as the development of modern training programmes in economic diplomacy at the Academy.

The parties also considered opportunities for joint cultural initiatives, such as exhibitions, film screenings and gastronomic festivals.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Ma Shengkun viewed the exhibition ‘Skovoroda in the Works of Ukrainian Artists,’ which is on display at the Diplomatic Academy, and separately noted the artistic value of Mykola Bilyk's sculpture ‘Garden of Divine Songs,’ in which motifs close to the traditions of Chinese culture can be traced.
