The event was organized within the framework of the international educational project UNITED: Ukraine Negotiation Initiative – Transformation, Education and Development, aimed at studying the practical experience of countries that have successfully completed the negotiation process for EU membership and identifying tools that could be useful for Ukraine on its European integration path.
Lectures in English were delivered by faculty members of the Stockholm School of Economics and senior Latvian diplomats — Dr. Andrew Schenkel, Dr. Erik Wetter, Dr. Per Henrik Hedberg, Dr. Kata Fredheim, Andris Kesteris, and Eduards Stiprais.
Participants explored the case of Latvia’s negotiations on joining the European Union and had the opportunity to hear first-hand insights and recommendations from Latvia’s former Chief Negotiator for EU Accession and the current EU Special Representative for Central Asia.
