On 26 March, a meeting was held between leading figures from Ukraine’s expert community to discuss security scenarios in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine for the years 2026–2027.

The discussion was opened by the Academy’s Director, Ihor Ostash, who addressed the potential consequences for Ukraine and Europe of an escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

Participants exchanged views on possible developments, taking into account the impact of recent international developments.

The event was jointly organised by the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and the Kyiv office of GLOBSEC.
